Miss Universo en la recta final con #Venezuela y otras latinas como favoritas (fotos)

Las 86 candidatas a la corona de Miss Universo ultiman los detalles de cara a la gala final del lunes en Manila, en la que varias contendientes latinas parten como favoritas a convertirse en la mujer más bella del mundo.

Las misses pisarán esta noche la alfombra roja en la última ceremonia oficial antes de la gran final, que comenzará a las 08.00 hora local (00.00 GMT) en el auditorio SM Mall of Asia Arena de Pasay, en pleno corazón de la capital de Filipinas.

Entre las favoritas para alzarse con la tiara destacan la elegante candidata venezolana, Mariam Habach, que ha ganado dos de los cuatro galardones preliminares, o la escultural Raissa Santana, que ha sido la primera Miss Brasil de raza negra en 30 años.

También parte con ventaja en las predicciones de los críticos la colombiana Andrea Tovar, que ha despertado una gran atención por sus exóticos rasgos indígenas y su notoria actividad en las redes sociales.

Con unas medidas casi perfectas (86, 68, 97) y 1,79 metros de estatura, la Señorita Colombia 2015 también se puede ver beneficiada del error cometido el año pasado, cuando su compatriota Ariadna Gutiérrez fue nombrada ganadora por equivocación y a los pocos minutos se otorgó la corona a la filipina Pia Wurtzbach.

Otras aspirantes que figuran como favoritas según los especialistas son la top model dominicana Sal García, la tailandesa Chalita Suansane, la estadounidense Deshauna Barber o la ucraniana Alena Spodynyuk.

En representación de España participa la bella ciudadrealeña Noelia Freire, dispuesta a dar la sorpresa en la misma ciudad en la que Amparo Muñoz ganó en 1974 la única corona de la historia del país.

Como novedad este año, son los internautas de todo el mundo quienes deciden con sus votos a través de la página oficial del certamen los nombres de las 12 semifinalistas que optarán a llevarse el título en la gala del lunes.

Tras un desfile de traje de noche, la docena de candidatas quedará reducida a la mitad a criterio del jurado y las seis elegidas se enfrentarán a la entrevista de los jueces para una nueva criba.

Las tres finalistas se subirán de nuevo a la pasarela en un último desfile para despejar las dudas de los seis jueces, entre los que se encuentra la célebre modelo, actriz y escritora puertorriqueña Dayanara Torres, quien portó la corona de Miss Universo 1993.

El presentador estadounidense Steve Harvey y la modelo Ashley Graham conducirán la gala final de esta edición tardía de Miss Universo 2016, que además contará con las actuaciones musicales de los grupos Flo Rida y Boyz II Men.

Las autoridades filipinas han extremado la seguridad en torno a la sede del evento, donde se han instalado numerosos controles policiales y se cerrará el espacio aéreo durante las aproximadamente tres horas que durará la final del certamen. EFE
